Congratulations! You made this far in your quest to get fit, and have some fun!
So, you are possibly interested in playing rugby. (or just nosy…) well read on…Whether you are young or old, experienced or a complete novice. Johnny Wilkinson or Johnny Vegas, we will welcome you into the club.
Rugby is a great way to get fit, stay fit, and enjoy a fantastic team sport. Don’t worry if you are not fit. The number of times I’ve heard people say they will come training when they are fit enough!!! That’s what training is for… just turn up, enjoy yourself and do what you can. You will find yourself getting fitter faster, and training is fun too.
But I can’t play rugby!! Again, don’t worry! you will learn, and pick it up pretty quickly. It might seem like a complicated game on the TV, but rest assured, the basic rules are very simple.
Why should you join us? Well, Stoneham is a small friendly team (with no old farts running the club). we run just one team, and we are all mates who enjoy a laugh. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy yourself. have a bit of fun, or if you are a bit disillusioned with your own club. Then why not give it a go.
We currently have players from all over the Southampton area, and are based just off of the M27 near the airport. So whether you are from Fareham, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Winchester, Totton or simply live in Southampton, getting to us is convenient.
